PALACE CINEMAS TO WELCOME BEST-SELLING AUTHOR BILL BRYSON FOR Q&A SESSION AT EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW SCREENINGS OF ‘A WALK IN THE WOODS’
A WALK IN THE WOODS, the upcoming film based on acclaimed author Bill Bryson’s best-selling book of the same name, will open in cinemas across Australia on September 3. To celebrate its release, Bill Bryson will attend an exclusive Q&A screening at Palace Barracks Cinema on August 13th.
Starring Robert Redford, Nick Nolte and Emma Thompson, A WALK IN THE WOODS is a hilarious and often touching comedy following celebrated travel writer Bill Bryson (played by Academy Award® winner Redford), and his old friend Katz (Nolte) as they hike the Appalachian Trail; over 2,100 miles through some of the most spectacular and rugged wilderness in America. As the two men set off into the wilderness, they encounter an assortment of eccentric characters, wild animals and perilous weather in an epic journey that will test the limits of their friendship.
The Hollywood Reporter has called the film “A jolly good time, sparking dozens of chuckles. A welcome showcase for wonderful star turns by Redford and Nolte.”
Beyond A WALK IN THE WOODS, Bill Bryson’s acclaimed travel books include A Brief History of Nearly Everything, The Lost Continent, Down Under and Notes from a Small Island. Bryson has also written books on language, on Shakespeare, and on his own childhood in the hilarious memoir The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid.
