Brisbane’s hottest ticket in town right now is Pretty Woman: The Musical! Opening night on Thursday, October 9, which is the Australian Premiere was nothing short of code red — even the city Bridge was lit up to celebrate. If you haven’t secured a ticket yet, you’re missing out on something truly special — a spectacular stage adaptation of the beloved international hit film.
Leading the way are Samantha Jade and Ben Hall, an irresistible duo who were simply made for these roles. Their chemistry lights up the stage, and by the end, you’ll find yourself completely smitten. From the dazzling dance numbers to the show-stopping songs and sleek choreography, the entire production captures the heart and spirit of the original film while adding its own sparkle and flair.

The music and lyrics by Jim Vallance and Bryan Adams (who launched the production in Brisbane earlier this year) deliver one hit after another. The show also boasts a talented supporting cast including Tim Omaji as Happy Man/Mr. Thompson and the delightful Michelle Brazier as Kit De Luca — both shining with charisma and vocal prowess. Douglas Hansell nails his role as the sharp lawyer Philip Stuckey, rounding out a stellar ensemble that makes this musical unforgettable.
One of the standout moments has to be the Opera scene, which is beautifully executed. Rebecca Gulinello’s soaring operatic performance is simply breathtaking, adding a touch of elegance and grandeur.
