Ravishing Fashionistas exist to help women to embrace themselves confidently by breaking through stereotypes in the fashion industry. Following hot on the heels of the past two years of successful fashion runway shows in 2019 and 2020, we are back in 2021 with more Brisbane based models, designers, makeup artists , photographers & stylists.

We love to challenge ourselves and aspire to deliver our guests an unforgettable experience. Local politicians, celebrities and influencers gather under one roof to witness the best of Brisbane’s models, fashion designers, jewellery creatives, stylists, hair and makeup artists, photographers, social media influencers and guests.

On Sunday, May 16th, Team Ravishing Fashionistas presented our Pre-Event Launch Party to our VVIP’s at The Emporium, South Bank.

It was a fabulous evening of fashion, food, chatting & dancing. Upma Kite, Mrs Australia Universal 2019, is the founder & director of Ravishing Fashionistas. Alongside her team, she presented to her guests her inspiration for the concept creation of the show, as well as her dreams for this year’s event.

Upma herself is a published model and knows the struggles within the industry. She wanted to create a space that encouraged women of all shapes, sizes, ages & backgrounds to embrace themselves by breaking stereotypes in the fashion industry. The host of the night, Liz Murrihy, presented a small showcase of our Ravishing Fashionistas Models, providing a snippet of what our guests can expect when our dedicated teams of designers, creators, hair & makeup artists, stylists gather to create a dynamic show on July 3rd, 2021 at the Royal International Convention Centre.

Continuing the mission to embrace yourself by breaking stereotypes and advocating positive body image, the Ravishing Fashionistas Team is determined to deliver an exceptional Fashion Show experience.

Team RF are encouraging everyone to fight prejudice and advocate positive body image for all women. Their message to the community is to confidently embrace their beauty and body irrespective of their age, body type, background, skin colour or culture. Every woman has a story and a unique personality – and we want to hear it.

The Ravishing Fashionistas Team consists of experts from the fashion industry and other professional backgrounds who volunteer their time to produce the show for professional and emerging models and designers. The team has delivered two sold out shows in the past at Sofitel, 2019 and Stanford Plaza, 2020. With every event produced, RF pledges that a portion of funds raised will go to a charity. This year Ravishing Fashionistas Fashion Show 2021 will donate a portion of profits to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Dignifying Women.
