On Thursday, 1st October MERGE will bring together 40+ local emerging artists spanning fashion, music, visual and performing arts, music and more for a one night extravaganza at The Met in Fortitude Valley. MERGE is the fifth of six emerging arts showcases to be run by RAW Brisbane in 2015 and this showcase is packed wall to wall with Brisbane’s best emerging creatives.

Showcase Director Caitlin Hultgren is thrilled to be bringing you another group of Brisbane’s best emerging talent at the upcoming MERGE showcase.

“The walls between traditional creative pursuits have been torn down in the modern era and we yet we are still stuck with so many traditional outlets for today’s artists. RAW showcases focus on providing emerging artists with a vibrant and dynamic platform to show their work and not confining them to a traditional space and environment to do that within.”

“Runway shows are performances. The catwalk is a stage. The fashion designers, hair and make up artists are collaborating on works of art with the model as their canvas. Our fashion shows are filled with excitement, passion and thrilling works of art “

“We showcase around 250 emerging artists a year in Brisbane to a collective audience of around 4500 excited and engaged members of the public. We want as many people as possible to experience the immense talent of Brisbane’s emerging creatives and help play a part in their very bright futures.”
