RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE ‘SAFE’ AND ANNOUNCES FORTHCOMING EP

Sarah Leete – one of Australia’s most exciting new country music talents – today releases her debut single ‘Safe’ and announces upcoming debut EP set for release on 3rd November.

Having built a loyal fan base through strong vocals, an infectious personality and a unique sense of humour, the release of ‘Safe’ comes in the wake of Sarah’s first tour – The Central Australia Tour – during which she self-booked, promoted and performed at 15 venues, across 4 states, over 4 weeks.

Written the day she brought home her Cole Clark guitar, Sarah says ‘Safe’ is “a bit of a love song to my then boyfriend, now husband, and is full of the little secrets and problems we share on a day-to-day basis. I find it quite relatable to an audience, and it’s definitely a crowd favourite at live shows. I’ve also played it as a first dance at a couple of weddings.”

Recorded at Black Wolf Studios, both ‘Safe’ and Sarah’s forthcoming debut EP were produced by four-time Golden Guitar winner Catherine Britt, and feature musicians including percussionist Michael McCartin (Troy Cassar-Daley), Jeff McCormack (Adam Harvey) and Michael Muchow (The McClymonts). “Sarah is different to all of the other current new acts coming onto the country music scene. She has strength and grit in her voice and songwriting that stands above the rest”, says Catherine Britt.

Sarah’s talent, drive and dedication were recently recognised when she was named a recipient of the 2016 Arts NSW Young Regional Artist Scholarship. She used this grant to record her self-titled debut EP (due out November 3rd), of which ‘Safe’ is the lead single.
