Lisa Williams.
Lisa Williams the world-renowned medium and clairvoyant with an amazing ability to communicate with those who have passed on to the other side is bringing her knowledge and powers to Australia. I was delighted to speak with Lisa this week who is indeed one very gifted lady and down to earth in what she does.
1. Did you know it was your destiny to do the work you do?
It was not what I was expecting at all and had no ideal as I just started doing readings for a bit of fun which lead me to this pathway.
2.. This being a spiritual pathway you have followed what age were you that you knew you had a ability to do what you do?
I was 4 years of age, but it was my late teens when I started to work with it more as to having tarot cards and did a lot readings, and my grandma said don’t play with the cards and did not listen of course and after a period of time things just were beginning to happen. I was telling people of things I was not supposed to know and it grew from there. I don’t make conscience decisions I go by the fact of natural law if its meant to happen, and that how its worked for me as I developed. It was predicted by my grandma who knew and understood that I be famous for what I do in having the ability to speaking to dead people.
3. How do you best describe the Mediumship work you do?
In terms of mediumship I aim to be more connected and feel I don’t want to be the mix with how people can Google. I want to give the true essence, I want them to feel like they’re having a full on conversation, and it is not something that every medium does’ and really the other side is not going to begin to tell you what colour dress or nails they just painted.
Its not what they do they want to come on and have full chat of who they are, which is what I think is needed in mediumship. The social media in my world has changed mediumship, because they google and thats what creates a lot of scepticism out there.
4. What is the most amazing work you have maybe experienced or recall of helping someone.
There are many but there was a Family in Australia that I spoke to from American, and I begin a general reading for husband and wife, and in the midst of it I saw something come in that they may not relate to them, but proceeded to tell them that I had seen a little girl in snow and she was dancing and loved the snow, and they were quiet to start with and they begin to cry. This was their daughter who passed, and I had picked up all of her traits and was able to describe her and that she was ok. Its these moments when you have full on experience with their loved ones and that makes me feel so happy that I can bring that to the people who are seeking to get messages from the other side. It gives at times closure and peace.
5. Does your grandma channel a lot with you?
Yes she does come in through reading but she bears bad news most of the time and gives me indicators there so its like O no this may not be good, but I recently lost close friends and this is where for me I get to see through my channel guides that they are safe and get visions to clarify and it helps process things for me too.
6. How do you best shut down and how?
Shutting down is so important for me and If I don’t I would go nuts. I prefer too walk or do yoga and work with breath and be more in the present moment as when you work with breath that benefits me to connect back to myself. I am not one for mediation as I am not wired that way to sit still.
7. With such a busy life how often are you home and manage with seeing the family?
I live in New York and have usual the period of November to May at home so if I do travel its just short trips and I work that time writing books or prep up for tours. This is the time of the year I do my travel trips to conduct readings and workshops and other things. I have my partner and 2 children Son 18years and daughter 14years. They are supportive of me and understand more so my work. In essence I see my life as not as my own as to the work I do.
8. Have you had any thoughts of not doing this work at times?
I think we all go through that, and its happened a couple of times but then I get so fulfilled with the purpose of what I am able to do and help people which brings me back to feeling good with what I do and like any work you need to adapt and grow.
9. Do you get approached by people that want to do what you do?
Absolutely there are so many! and I had a talk to another young medium recently, he come to workshop of mine and said to me I want to be like you when I grow up. One of the greatest gifs I have is to be able to teach people what I know and through my books too, but its up to each individual to work their way. I so privileged to be a guide to begin this.
10 . In the world of so many readers do you get feed back on the fake ones?
My clients more so tell me of their experiences when bad as I do not come across them but in my area of teaching I always say..Please remember you carry the person life in your hands and you must be responsible for that and read for someone how you want to be read for. Do not come from EGO or financial side which there are lots that operate from that energy.
11. How do you see the future and our generation moving forward?
Somebody I worked with asked me about the next generation moving forward and as technology is creating a world of Change I feel with the world becoming smaller we need to be more connected to ourselves, and to do that what I know is that we have to start with Love and with ourselves and this is huge in it absolutely way to connect on what is the only way to heal is LOVE.
Spirit is always telling me information and shaming information that sometimes we don’t want to see it and we don’t want to appreciate it cuz sometimes we don’t want to hear it.
I cover this in my latest book “The Divine Wisdom” Again for me the practice of being present is what works for me and our future generation is depended I think more so that they work with Love connection.
