The Arts Centre Gold Coast is proud to announce they have been awarded the Best Regional Cinema award 2015 for the Arts Cinema for the second year in a row!
As a part of the 70th Australian International Movie Convention, delegates from Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the United States and Europe gathered at Jupiter’s Casino last night for the AIDA (Australian Independent Distributors Association) Trailer Presentation and Award Ceremony.
Cinema Supervisor Mika Mantykivi, was attending the dinner and was not aware that the Arts Cinema had even been nominated.
When the award was announced Mika was extremely surprised and very proud to accept the award.
‘I am so proud of what we have to offer at the Arts Cinema. I have worked in the industry for over 20 years and it is an absolute privilege for the cinema to be recognised in this way,’ says Mika.
The AIDA awards serve as a timely reminder that atmosphere, service and a genuine passion for all styles and genres of cinema are essential to a first rate movie-going experience.
