This month, the rolling hills of Woodfordia will once again spring to life (literally and figuratively) when the home of Woodford Folk Festival hosts its sibling festivals; Artisan Camp, an immersive workshop experience and The Planting; an exploration of community, creativity and learning.
An immersive workshop experience entering into its third year, invite visitors to learn directly from masters of their craft and offer a distinctive program featuring silver-smithing, circus, song writing, millinery, rhythm workshops, acrylic painting, dance, ukulele and comedy.
Guests in 2019 include a Guinness World Record-holder, a leading Australian percussionist, a globally renowned comedian, an artist who worked with Disney and an award-winning songwriter as well as artisans with hundreds of years of experience between them.
Beginning in 1997 as a simple revegetation weekend, The Planting as since evolved to become a mini-festival that inspires eco-minded visitors to search, discover, imagine, create, celebrate, plant and grow. With the full weekend programme just announced, the 2019 event features a vast array of opportunities to get your hands dirty in kitchens, planting and crafts, as well as a beautiful evening programme that welcomes one of Australia’s most awarded and treasured singer/songwriters Archie Roach
