TINA TURNER QUEEN OF ROCK BIDS FAREWELL AT 83

Breaking news of rock legend Tina Turner whos news is leaving shock sadness of her passing at the age of 83 years.

The Nutbush singer’s publicist confirmed the news in a statement, which read: “Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll’ has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.

“With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.’”

it was stated her cause of death was after a “long illness”, with Turner suffering a number of health issues in recent years, including cancer, a stroke and kidney failure.

She was born Anna Mae Bullock in 1939 in Brownsville, Tennessee, close to the town of Nutbush, and first rose to fame alongside husband Ike Turner in the 1960s with hits including Proud Mary and River Deep, Mountain High.


Through her career she would sell 100 million records and become one of the best selling recording artists of all time. Yet she only had a single US number one chart topper with What’s Love Got to Do with It in 1984 when she saw a resurgence in popularity.

It was at 44 years, she was the oldest female artist to score a number one hit. 2021 she was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.

Turner would receive 12 Grammy Awards including three Hall of Fame awards and one Lifetime Achievement gong.

She retired from music in 2009 after completing her 50th anniversary tour.

In her later years, Turner suffered from various health issues including kidney disease with her husband, German music executive Erwin Bach, donating to her one of his kidneys. She married Bach, her second husband, in 2013 a beautiful love of her life.
