TV WEEK LOGIES UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

NEW ERA FOR TV WEEK LOGIES

The TV Week awards are iconic for giving honours to many in the entertainment world of Australian TV but big changes are happening.

Are Media has hand over the reins to external events company Rizer who will now manage submissions, determine nominees and take charge of the voting process. But TV WEEK says ‘It is of great importance to us that TV WEEK remains an integral part of the event and we are delighted our iconic brand will continue to be a friend of the Logies as its official media partner, continuing to support local talent as we have done for several decades.’

In an interview with the Herald Sun on Thursday, TV expert Colin Vickery said a change in management could be just what the awards show needs.

‘It could be a very positive thing which will excite all the networks and their stars,’ Vickery explained.

‘The ratings for the Logies have been on a downward trajectory for some time. This might be the change with new blood and enthusiasm that could see it back to its best again.’

Dates are to be announced and it will be now moved from The Star Casino to Gold Coast Convention Centre.
