After 9,000 hungry foodies flocked to Ubud Food Festival (UFF) from 12–14 May this year, the dates have now been set for Indonesia’s leading culinary event to return from 13–15 April, 2018.

The three-day program will feature high energy cook-offs, culinary competitions, special events across Bali’s best bars and restaurants, in-depth food for thought food forums, and a bustling hub of food stalls, performances and film screenings under the stars. As ever, UFF will bring together Indonesia and the region’s most innovative and celebrated food industry members, from farmers to food writers to Michelin-starred chefs.

In the meantime, foodies will be tempted by The Kitchen at this year’s Ubud Writers & Readers Festival, UFF’s sister event. From 27-29 October, dishes will be served by the stars of the UFF, including the much-anticipated return of cult kitchen hero Rahung Nasution, the Herb Library’s Diana von Cranach, UFF Founder & Director Janet DeNeefe, and Head Chef of Locavore’s newest venture, Nusantara, Putu Sumarjana.

In the Festival’s Main Program, the UK’s greatest authority on Chinese food, celebrated chef and food writer Fuchsia Dunlop, will appear alongside author of Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide, Joanna Savill.
