PREMIERES 15 JULY ON BINGE
First look trailer for the new series, Emperor of Ocean Park, from John Wells and Sherman Payne, premieres 15 July on BINGE.
The series stars Forest Whitaker, Grantham Coleman, Tiffany Mack, Paulina Lule, Keith Powers, Kelli Simpkins, Keith Kupferer, and Deanna Reed-Foster.
Emperor of Ocean Park is set in the worlds of politics, elite academia, and the beaches of Martha’s Vineyard. It follows Talcott Garland (Coleman), an esteemed law professor whose quiet life is shattered when his father, Judge Oliver Garland, dies of an apparent heart attack. The nature of the judge’s death is questioned by Tal’s sister, Mariah, a former journalist and inveterate conspiracy theorist, who believes that the judge, a failed Black nominee to the Supreme Court, met with foul play.
Emperor of Ocean Park is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with John Wells, Erin Jontow, and Shukree Tilghman serving as Executive Producers alongside Sherman Payne.
First look at new comedy series Fantasmas, created, directed by and starring Julio Torres (Problemista and Los Espookys), premieres 8 June on BINGE, with new episodes dropping weekly.
Writer, director, and comedian Julio Torres spins a fantastical six-part tale of when he lost a gold oyster earring. In his search to find the precious object, Julio reflects on the offbeat characters he encounters in introspective, often eerie, and always comedic vignettes set in a dreamy, alternate version of New York City.
A kaleidoscope of colour and surrealism, Fantasmas weaves together stories of people looking for meaning, purpose, and connection in an increasingly isolating world.
In addition to Torres as Julio, the cast includes Martine Gutierrez as Vanesja, Tomas Matos as Chester and Joe Rumrill as the voice of Bibo. Nearly two dozen guest stars will make special appearances throughout the series’ six episodes, including Steve Buscemi, Paul Dano, Julia Fox, Alexa Demie, Emma Stone, Aidy Bryant, Bowen Yang, Kim Petras, Ziwe and more.
